Jacques is in-house privacy counsel for a leading fintech company after practicing law at Vault 25 firms in New York and serving in legal and business capacities for California and Delaware financial service organizations, advising individuals, business lines, operating organizations, and endowments.
He has been certified by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP-US; IAPP), the Alliance of Mergers and Acquisition Advisors (CM&AA; AM&AA), and the American Bankers Association (CTFA; ABA). He is licensed to practice law in NY and previously held an insurance license in Delaware.
Jacques is a passionate, lifelong advocate for the under-served and under-represented. He has served on the non-profit boards of community service organizations throughout his career on both coasts.
He is currently a leader of two of New York City’s most impactful diverse professional organizations, the Council for Urban Professionals (CUP) and the Metropolitan Black Bar Association (MBBA) Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Section. During his tenure the Section was named a 2021 “Section of the Year” and in 2022 he was named MBBA “Member of the Year.”
Jacques earned his J.D. from Howard University School of Law, where he was a Thurgood Marshall Scholar, member of the Huver I. Brown Trial Advocacy Team, and CALI award recipient. He earned his B.A. from Morehouse College, cum laude. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
